Ship World File Starbound Races Online; Starbound is a 2D extraterrestrial sandbox adventure game developed by Chucklefish, a London-based independent game studio!Take on the role of a character who’s just fled their home planet, only to crash-land on another. Starbound saves your progress in two different folders; players and universe. Both of these are located in your main Starbound folder (in linux32 or in linux64 if you use Linux version). The players folder stores your character, your inventory and your ship. The universe folder stores all the planets you've explored and any changes made to them. Starbound and Chucklefish (and their respective logos) are trade marks or registered trade marks of Chucklefish Limited. The Game is a fictitious work set in an imagined world. All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. So i posted a question a while ago about changing a races ship over to another race, I.E a hylotl ship for my novakid, most answers I've found all talk about switching shipworld files, I already made a hylotl character and maxed their ship, but when i go into my local files and the player section i can only find one shipworld file in there yet i have three characters?
Ship-based Artificial Intelligence Lattice, or S.A.I.L for short.

Unobtainable Object S.A.I.L. (Station) is an object unobtainable by players through normal means. This item's information is present in the game files, but not intended by developers to be in players' possession. |
S.A.I.L. is an interactive object found on player ships. Interacting with this will bring up SAIL whom will provide information about the current status of the ship, allow players to manage their Crew and allow them to select the various missions. The object itself manages which one of the pets spawns on the ship and is randomized for each character when starting a game.
Originally, during beta, this station was used to equip techs. That functionality was moved to the Tech Console in update Cheerful Giraffe.
Each player only has one ship station, which has a permanent position on their ship.
- This object will crash the game if two of them are placed at the same time, as the game cannot spawn two pets at once.
- The console can normally be breakable, but the ship world is programmed to place this object as 'unbreakable'.
